Postdoctoral fellows work in close collaboration with the staff of the Counseling Center with many of the same responsibilities as the clinical staff.
The Doctoral Internship Program in Health Service Psychology is a one-year program that includes a minimum of 500 hours of direct client contact.

Clinical Training
The Georgia State Counseling Center is home to an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited doctoral internship program in psychology and an Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) member postdoctoral fellowship in psychology. Both programs attract advanced-level psychologists in training who are interested in meeting the requirements for licensure as a psychologist and in working with diverse populations in an urban university counseling center setting. Supervision is provided by senior psychologists with a focus on developing and strengthening multicultural counseling competencies.
