- Biography
Clinical social worker Vanessa Mahmoud has spent the last 30 years working in the profession. Over the course of her career, she has worked with a wide range of clients, including those who have experienced significant trauma. She is the proprietor of Mandala Psychotherapy Services, which offers individual treatment, professional supervision for therapists, and consultancy to nearby colleges. For more than 20 years, she has worked with people who are in college and graduate or professional schools. She has worked as a consultant and therapist with numerous different organizations in addition to holding the positions of director of counseling services at Spelman College and as a coordinator of family therapy at Ridgeview Institute as well as with soldiers who are survivors of combat stress. She has contributed to a number of publications and papers and has worked as visiting faculty at the Multi-Cultural Family Therapy Center in New Jersey. She is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters and six amazing grandchildren.
