Students can participate in unlimited group counseling sessions and workshops during their enrollment at Georgia State. Students may be scheduled for up to 8 individual sessions per academic year, depending on student need and scheduling availability, and the professional judgment of the counseling staff.

At this visit students will get an idea about what type of services are recommended based on their particular concerns or situation. Most students will be encouraged to participate in our skills workshop, while others may be referred for short-term individual or group counseling. In some cases, our best recommendation may be a referral to providers outside of the Georgia State Counseling Center. All students are invited to utilize the center's Stress-Less Tech.
Students will be scheduled with a counselor for the initial intake session after completing our intake questionnaires. Call 404-413-1640 to get started. Students can usually be seen on the same day questionnaires are completed.
