COUNSELING SESSIONS
The Counseling Center provides short-term, time-limited individual and group counseling services for students.
To participate in ongoing individual counseling at the Counseling Center, students must first meet with a counselor for an initial consultation. During that session, students will receive recommendations for the type of support that may best address their concerns. Students may be encouraged to engage in individual counseling at the Counseling Center or with a provider within the community who works with Georgia State students.
Currently, the Counseling Center is conducting in-person and virtual, ongoing individual appointments. Appointment type may be affected by scheduling availability. All ongoing in-person scheduled appointments will take place in 75 Piedmont Suite 200.
Additionally, students who are attending ongoing individual counseling within the Counseling Center or Georgia State Psychology Clinic are eligible to meet with a psychiatrist through our center.
Do you have a virtual appointment but don’t have any privacy? Reserve one of our rooms at the Counseling Center at 75 Piedmont 200A to meet with your provider virtually and in private. We have several rooms dedicated for students to use for conducting their appointments with health and wellness staff. You must sign-up to schedule the time you’d like to use the room.
